Grafbase

Summary

An early-stage startup backed by the founders of GitHub and Vercel, Grafbase, hired me to design a UI/UX for deploying GraphQL APIs, ultimately for deploying backend.

Old design

Grafbase only had a website which was announcing the product. It was at a pre-seed stage. The product design and the design system have not yet been established.

New design

In 4 months, I designed the entire app and website, and working closely with developers, established a design system which makes it possible to see all parts of the app and website in light, dark and custom theme (developers can create themes and give users ability to create themes, e.g. set up a color scheme which matches their branding). It was expected to take 8 months.

Results

I also helped with the pitch deck. Developers built the app and the website based on designs, and Grafbase raised a round.
