Magicloops

Create AI automations

Summary
Magicloops, a startup backed by YCombinator, hired me to redesign a website of a web app which uses AI technology to automate everyday tasks.

Adam Williams
CEO
"As an early-stage startup, we don't have the capacity needs for a full-time designer and needed help on project basis. Adis was a great fit for our needs, and helped us redesign the landing page for Magic Loops. He was quick, efficient, and a good communicator. We iterated on the design a few times, and he was very responsive. Everything was delivered with Figma, which was our preferred design software. Overall we've enjoyed working with Adis, and the improved home page has helped bolster our brand and external image."

Old design
Magicloops already had a v1 live and a landing page, but the landing page was not converting very well, visitors were hesitant to tap a button to create a loop.

New design 1
I tried to explain the core value proposition at the first section via showing an illustration of an automation, i.e. a set of tasks which can be created with Magicloops. Magicloops founders suggested showing templates with titles and summaries, and visually to make it warmer, while keeping it playful, to make it more inviting to less tech-savvy users and show how simple Magicloops makes using even the most advanced tech.

I suggested showing screenshot of video, and thus app, and pricing, to reduce the number of clicks and show what users can expect, and tried to make text more informative, provide clearer and more complete explanation of Magicloops platform.

New design 2
Magicloops team suggested to try with dark background and blue color, and include more content like a button to start a chat with AI, section with customer logos, explanations in testimonials about how customers use Magicloops, FAQ section, and a more detailed loop flow.

I tried to make it more clear at intro what the product does, and included list of examples next to an input field to describe a loop, with arrows to see more examples, instead of scrolling. That way, when user writes something into input field, below would be automatically shown only examples relevant to what user typed.

And I designed a new logo icon which uses one color and simpler shape, showing circular loops to illustrate how a loop is created with a goal and executed in phases.

Results
Design updates were implemented to the live Magicloops website and helped increase conversion rate.
